Do I have to use anotehr piece of paper?

I am writing a paper for my English cl, I am in college...freshman English....anyhow for when you are writing in MLA style and you have to cite a book....do I have to use another page for one single book when the last page in the paper only has a sentence or 2 on it? it seems like such a waste of paper.
